​I conceived of the Food for Thought Truck to introduce folks to the indie publishing scene and
the diverse voices emerging from this dynamic quarter. When I first started writing, there was a
stigma associated with self-publishing. But now that the digital slush pile at every agency
and publishing house is far bigger than any stack, no matter how towering, onto which my work
was tossed all those years ago, more and more people are doing the work of putting their ideas
out into the world themselves, unwilling or unable to wait for gatekeepers to finally give them
a chance. It's the next step in the evolution of the book business, and the Food for Thought Truck will be at the forefront of this historic expansion.

Every indie title we sell has been vetted by me or by someone I trust

We don't engage on social media, we're all about face-to-face contact

We sell used books to boost the support we give indies

We don't return indies! If it is on our shelf, we believe in it and it will stay there until it finds its forever home
